General objectives

The project aims to ensure EU-wide dissemination of a high-quality renal replacement therapy data collection.

Strategic relevance and contribution to the public health programme

The project will support European efforts in improving quality of care by collecting clinical performance indicators on renal replacement therapy (RRT).

Methods and means

The project will use a provisional list of selected and standardised indicators prepared by European expert committees.

Expected outcomes period

The project will:
develop standardised indicators for RRT and get them accepted;
develop standardised information technology for automated data collection on RRT;
raise the level of new or already existing, but less well-developed, RRT registries to high standards;
ensure EU-wide dissemination of comparable, high-quality RRT data collection.
