This work package contains all actions related to the promotion, dissemination, and evaluation of the European Code against Cancer, building on the work undertaken in the previous FPA period. This work package also includes the specific activities of the ECL Youth Ambassadors for the European Code against Cancer, and contribution to the EU Solidarity Corps programme. The work package will support the networking amongst cancer leagues in regards to cancer prevention issues and the promotion of the European Code against Cancer and will provide support for the diffusion of the ECAC at the national level in Europe, including those countries in which ECL does not yet have a member.

This work package focuses on enhancing ECL’s long-term strategic goal of encouraging the implementation of quality assured organised cancer programmes in the EU. The work package will provide direct training and information to cancer leagues in the ECL membership on current salient issues related to organised cancer screening in Europe, taking
account of the conclusions from the CanCon guide arising from the CanCon joint action. This work will make links with existing European projects in the field and will engage with expert technical partners to provide direct support to cancer leagues.

The work package will deal with core areas of ECL's work notably: the annual scientific conference and general assembly of ECL; the dissemination of the monthly newsletters; the production of the annual report and other key documents for the governance of ECL; and will address objective 5 of ECL's FPA - collaborate with cancer leagues to advocate for the European guide for quality improvement in comprehensive cancer control (‘Cancon Guide’) to be mainstreamed into national cancer control plans.
