This project seeks to increase the awareness within municipal policy makers and “professional practitioners” on how the socio-cultural context within the local settings, where municipalities can intervene with health promoting activities has an effect on healthy lifestyle choices and the health status within families. The increased awareness will increase these groups’ ability and willingness to develop and implement activities which are specifically developed in relation to the socio cultural context, where they are supposed to have an effect. The general objective of this project is therefore to ensure that health promoting activities, focusing on overweight, obesity and healthy lifestyle choices especially within young people and their families, has a better and long lasting effect.


The project aims at piloting an innovative web-based EU-wide monitoring system to collect self-reported data from men who have sex with men (MSM) on sexual risk related behaviours and sexual health and information needs.


The European Network for Traumatic Stress - Training and Practice (TENTS-TP) aims to widely disseminate and implement evidence based practice for those affected by traumatic events to promote social inclusion throughout the entire European region. This will be achieved by developing guidelines that effectively integrate mental health promotion and disorder prevention into the training and practice of professionals in mental health and social services. TENTS-TP will integrate the work of other European projects in the field.
The final aim is to raise levels of knowledge and expertise of the end users of this project (mental health and social service professionals) which will result in improved services to those affected by traumatic events. Professionals responsible for teaching and training in this field will be identified, provided with evidence based practice teaching package and equipped to implement this in a sustainable manner in partner countries.


