The general objective of this proposal is the development of indicators to monitor the health status of migrants in Europe by using existing health related databases and surveys. Furthermore, a European network of epidemiological observatories on migrants’ health will be established. This network will generate a European overview of comparable and exchangeable data on socio-demographic and health profile of migrants for selected health problems. Specific attention will be paid to the conceptual, methodological, ethical and practical issue of identifying ethnic minorities in health databases and to the assessment of valid comparisons between migrant groups within countries and between countries.

EATG’s mission is to achieve the fastest possible access to state of the art medical products, devices and diagnostic tests that prevent or treat HIV infection or improve the quality of life of people living with HIV, or who are at risk of HIV infection.

In responding to HIV, EATG also considers diseases frequently seen as co-infection in people with HIV, as well as other health issues that increase the risk of HIV.

EATG’s primary geographic focus is the member states served by the World Health Organisation (WHO) Regional Office for Europe. However, EATG does consider opportunities to collaborate with and support similar efforts in other parts of the world.

The mission of SANL is:
- to stimulate and enhance the scale and the quality of the Dutch contribution to the national and international response to HIV/AIDS and other STIs
- to stimulate and enhance the scale and the quality of the Dutch contribution to the care and support for people living with HIV (PLHIV) or other STIs.
In a field where more parties are active, SANL unites, stimulates joint vision and facilitates fine-tuning and collaboration. AAE plays this role on the European level and thus fits well into the overall goals and activities of SANL.

AIDS Action Europe’s mission is to unite civil society to work towards a more effective response to the HIV epidemic in Europe. We strive for better protection of human rights and universal access to prevention, treatment, care and support.

As regional office of ICASO, AAE is part of ICASO’s mission to mobilize and support diverse community organizations to build an effective global response to HIV and AIDS. This is done within a vision of a world where people living with and affected by HIV and AIDS can enjoy life free from stigma, discrimination, and persecution, and have access to prevention, treatment and care.
